Ah ok, so I point something out to you, I say you're right, then you backtrack.
Then the best you've got is swearing and talking nonsense?
-
• #128
Just got a PM from the cretin
So you're taking the cowardly route by posting a message on my profile page then?
Is it because you've run out of argument?
Arguing with idiots like you is fairly pointless, but making potential purchasers aware you might try to deceive them via your profile page will hopefully save someone from being ripped off.

Whether they are, or are not a replica, a copy, a reproduction, a facsimile, an imitation or a fake is beside the point: by the careful and deliberate wording of your advert, you were attempting to pass off something that is not what it appears to be, on the unwitting.
For that you are a cunt.

I agree with TM, then he tells me different.
Then I'm getting no argument or comments anymore, I'm just getting keyboard warrior backchat?

I agreed Scilly, hence raising the point of the cars being sold, it's outrageous isn't it?

Do they still allow Paypal gift over there?

Taiwan is
part ofChinaIt's a country in island exile while their homeland is occupied by a Communist insurgency. It's too soon to tell when China will have a democratic government in control of its whole territory.

Bootleg implies fraud! Are you really this confused?
Bootleg synonyms "illegal, illicit, unlawful, unauthorized, unsanctioned, unlicensed, unofficial, pirated"
Not so much. None of those synonyms imply fraudulence, they imply smuggling – illegality through lack of duty paid.
Bootlegging comes from an era when waders were used to stash bottles arriving ashore from smuggling vessels. How you adapt that to the modern era of brands and patents isn't so clear-cut.
But all said and done...
What a fucking tit
^ this.

I give up with the thread.
I'm just getting same old keyboard warrior backchat and nothing constructive...
-
• #139
Perhaps take from this that it's worth being totally clear, full disclosure etc, when selling to a community you're intending to be part of?
-
• #140
^^ You've had a lot of constructive advice. However you've had your fingers in your ears going la,la,la,la...

That's a fair point.
But to be accused of deception and fraud by people is complete nonsense, and as you can see they've backtracked with the replica cars and they're just resorting to keyboard warrior nonsense.

I've agreed with the advice, showed them them examples then they've backtracked?
I've had delusional, odd, fuck off now, cunt put my way.
I've just argued my point
-
• #143
^^ Yes. * people on the internet can be blunt shocker *
But you're guilty of the same in this thread, so take it easy! :)
-
• #144
I know, and some comments can go overboard and uncalled for and become much more serious
-
• #145
You called this 'serious' when Howard mentioned it was a 'storm in a tea cup'. TBH you've had it pretty easy. I can't remember the last time someone got two pages pushing their point before forumengers got their cnuts out...

Well whether they're just ignorant or have taken anything on board, so be it.
It's all gone quiet since showing the car examples so maybe something sunk in.
That's me done.

OK here's something constructive:
If you put the logos of a reputable brand on some generic item for your own amusement, either because it's inherently funny or out of a misplaced sense that somebody else will be impressed (they wont; anybody who is impressed that you have Zipp wheels will spot the deception), that's your affair.
If you leave the logos on while trying to sell the said item, that's passing off, which is likely to incur the wrath of everybody - the market place where you're selling the item, the owners of the brand, and the relevant authorities. If you can't remove the branding (e.g. decals under the clearcoat on a frame), you need to make it really clear that the item is not what it is labelled as. Calling something a replica doesn't meet anybody's idea of being clear about the true nature of the goods.

It was velocio nutter who used the term replica/bootleg. The placement of those stickers on the wheels would be unsanctioned and unauthorised. Similar to a frame builder sticking a higher end tube set sticker on a stovepipe frame after refurbishing it.

That's me done.
You are the one who has demonstrated ignorance and a refusal to take anything on board.

No, you got no reply because your argument doesn't warrant a response. You're absolutely full of shit, I can picture you sitting there congratulating yourself on how clever your responses have been... They haven't, they come across as the ramblings of an imbecile. You got constructive to start with, rejected it, and lead us down this farsical misadventure...
Could you please take yourself, your ineffective trolling and your fee-free ads back to bike radar?
