Rwandan cycling - Book - land of second chances

  • Worth a read.

This is a book written by someone I know and unlike many sports related books it is well written and very well researched.

The highlights are the golden nuggets of the story of different riders in Rwanda such as Rocky, Gasore and Adrien Niyonshuti and a rider called Abraham.

It isn't 'cool-runnings' but it has some seriously good parts.

Some of the chapters are a little 'academic' and sometimes add to but not always follow the flow of the more powerful stories of the riders involved.

Quite a few people in the book are looking for redemption. However in the case of the riders, they are just trying something new in their country
