apparently the paint comes off the braking surface pretty fast, so shouldnt look tatty for too long
Have a black H Plus Son SL42. Paint on the braking surface wore out the first time I rode in the rain. Before that it held up ok for a month or so.

Ambrosio Nemesis- no match for British lanes+mud, they'll have a nice bright braking surface by the end of the week.

Same was true for my Ghisallo wooden rims. The only difference being that my Ghisallo rims were permanently ruined after I rode in the rain.

Sort the stem, chain, saddle and crank out and it's almost there
-
• #82372
....needs tape & double starps too
-
• #82373
Should the straps not match the saddle/tape too?
-
• #82374
Are there any alloy rims with coloured braking surfaces that hold their colour?
-
• #82375
I'm hoping the grey Archetypes will do for a fair while, particularly if they're good weather wheels used with soft pads, but they'll still go eventually.
