Well, it's a warning for people who go there.
Like another post said, you can't put "open to offers" because the mods there see it as bumping and to add insult to injury you can't edit posts yourselves.
Only mods can edit them! OUCH!

BR would be my go-to place should I wish to append every post with a "wacky" quote used as a signature. Which I don't.
Oh that wacky English language
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_EnglandOr did you mean Merry Christmas?

You seemed to miss the fact that you had 'replica' in your OP.
I don't think it's an overreaction and agree with what Señor Bear said. You're in the wrong.

They are posted here.
All sounds like a storm in a teacup.
The word "replica" appears once in that entire ad.
It's not in the title.
The actual origin (or the fact that the origin is unknown) is never mentioned.
There is loads of stuff in the classifieds that has another brand's stickers on it (usualy frames) and sellers are generally very open and descriptive about this. OP should take a leaf out of their book.

It's not the point.
It states replica which means it's not fake, it's not counterfeit and there's no attempt to con anyone.
What do people think they're buying when they a Ford Focus RS, BMW M3, Audi RS4, Mercedes AMG Replica exactly?
The point is more about their reaction of "forcing" me to put Chinese Carbon Wheels when they have no idea where they were made. And you can't dish out sarcasm to fellow members when you're not prepared to take some back.
Make up your own minds, as far as I'm concerned the mods on bikeradar are full of ssshh it.

The stickers were not right for the wheels. It would be like putting Serotta decals on a stovepipe frame. Try putting the same advert up on lfgss and see what happens.
-
• #58
It's a fake, not a replica, get over it.
-
• #59
What's the difference?
-
• #60
A fake is made to deceive. A replica is a recreation sometimes to the same spec as the original but often just made to appear similar.
The problem is these wheels may deceive someone who is not aware of what they are buying.

This happens though.
A lot.
Sellers on here though are usually decent enough to repeatedly inform potential buyers of what they are looking at giving plenty of detail about what they do know about the item.
IMO the OP's classified ad is not nearly descriptive enough and is worded to deceive.

Plain english:
Definition, Replica;
"an exact copy or model of something, especially one on a smaller scale"Definition, Copy;
"a thing made to be similar or identical to another"Definition, Deception;
"the action of deceiving someone"Definition, Deceive;
"deliberately cause (someone) to believe something that is not true, especially for personal gain"Definition, Fake;
"not genuine; imitation or counterfeit"Definition, Counterfeit;
"made in exact imitation of something valuable with the intention to deceive or defraud"A fake is a counterfeit item made with the intention to deceive or defraud.
So informing someone that the item is a copy is deception? Is that deliberately causing someone to believe something that is not true?
So how I can be accused of deception, I have no idea

Your wheels are not an exact copy, to claim they are would be fraudulent, as they are not a replica.
-
• #64
So it's claiming that they are replica is now fraudulent?
So if I had listed them as genuine, you would have told me straight away that they're not?
It's like saying nothing is 100% flat.
-
• #65
By the definitions you chose to supply above, yes.
Stop whining and get over yourself.
-
• #66
How are they not an exact copy?
-
• #67
50mm Carbon Rim, Easton Decals
They look the same..........................
Depends what you mean by exact?
-
• #68
They are not functionally identical, so not an exact copy.
-
• #69
Functionally?????
They spin just like any other wheel?????????
AC Cobra Replicas are "functionally" fine then?
-
• #70
How are they not an exact copy?
Putting a rolex badge on a casio does not make it a rolex...
Or another way to look at it is a replica would be made from the same moulds or very similar yours don't so are not a replica
-
• #71
Is anyone not getting the word "COPY"?
-
• #72
If you put a rolex badge on a casio that looks nothing like a rolex then OBVIOUSLY
-
• #73
A replica doesn't have to made made from the same moulds.
A replica has to look the same, it's not about how it's made.
I guess a lego replica has to use the same moulds and go through the same factory process or function the same going on what you'll saying?

Much like the Easton sticker on a generic carbon rims and Novatech hubs.
-

Much like the Easton sticker on a generic carbon rims and Novatech hubs.
So you're telling me that if I sold the rims on their own with the decals and sold them as genuine then you would have pointed to me that were not genuine as well I take it?
If I gave you a 50mm carbon rim unbranded which was made by a major manufacturer such as Zipp, Hed, Bontrager, Mavic - you're going to tell me which one it is exactly are you?
Well yeah, their reaction is a bit heavy handed - but yeah, it's BR, and it's their house. If you don't like it, ask for your money back ;)
