I suppose I should add myself to the B Team in memory of many long and cold hours in the back garden with inadequate binoculars, a torch covered in red cellophane and the Observers Book of Astronomy fruitlessly trying to identify M11, R Leporis etc

To whet your appetites I was at Mill Hill last night and the moon was stunning and Jupiter was showing 5 or 6 clear stripes to the naked eye, and alledgedly the spot visible as well but I couldn't make that out...
also the first post has been updated with route, any comments on the section south of the river welcome, I rarely venture to those parts!

No-one's dropped out yet? That's unheard of.
-
• #131
It's a while to go yet, wait until a week before and they'll be disappearing faster than people who used to go to east beers.
-
• #132
Happy to join in if there is a second ride as well.

I assume we need to bring locks, whats the bike parking/locking facilities like at Mill Hill?
-
• #134
I'm certainly a potential drop out - have done my back/leg in and not been able to ride for a bit. Trying to hold out as long as possible and hoping that I will be fit to go for this one, but I will probably guess that at the very least Velocio will be jumping up the list!
-
• #135
I'm not too bothered about bedwetters untill say a week before, ie the 4th. Please try and make sure you know you can/cannot by then so the people in the queue can arrange themselves...
-
• #136
13 of you dropping out would be ideal.

can't imagine bikes going missing. no one's there apart from the thousands of cars whizzing past

Don't forget Russell Grant and his chums watching the ascension of Mars in Uranus.

But still, you should always bring a lock on a ride you know will include stops. -

We can lock bikes up on site, There's a space down the side of the South wing that should be good. A lock would help as the site is 'open' to the public, and there is a footpath that runs behind.

I'm out, will be unable to ride for a few months. Was looking forward to it - hopefully you'll run another one later in the year!
