Dibs on this if it's still available, what size wheels are you running front and back? Also where are you located?
-

Whoops didn't read the caption, 650/700.

3rd dibs then. Front is 650c, rear - 700c. I'm located in Lithuania, so a viewing is probably not possible.

Just to clarify: I'm not selling the whole lot for 265, the listed price is for the frame, forks and the headset, as stated in the OP. Any additional parts listed above would be extra.

Sold.
Hi,
after several weeks of pondering, I've decided to let it go. Some of you might be familiar with this frame, for those who are not:
The frame was built for the lithuanian track team in the late 80s. Since the ban of 650c/700c bikes at UCI events it had no use
and just gathered dust in the corner. In the eve of an important race, a cycling coach known as Vladimir Kolesnikov was
facing the problem of a slipping seatpost in a carbon frame. The fucking bright idea hit him to anglegrind out the top tube
of that useless lo pro vitus frame and use it as a shim.
So I've found this mutilated gem and brought it back to life.
I had a new top tube machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and set it in using 3m DP960, an industrial grade structural adhesive,
and the know-how gained from several transatlantic phone calls with two shops who specialised in Vitus repairs.
I'm 100% confident in my job, the frame rides straight ( http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5515/11434027026_1ca7bb3b07_z.jpg ) and contemporary adhesives are much stronger than the
ones originaly used by vitus several decades ago. That being said, I'll cover your dentist bill in the case of the frame
failing, though it won't come to that.
The frame:
Bonded Vitus 979 Duraluminum track frame,
Purple anodized downtube and toptube, everything else is polished aluminum.
ST CTT 575mm, effective TT 540mm, I'd compare it to a 54 square traditional geometry frame. Italian BB threading.
There are two noteworthy scratches/scrapes to the seattube, one near the bb on the driveside, the second is on the non-drive side. Also a mark on the headtube and a very slight discoloration to the anodizing near the headtube which occured during the repair Will get up some pictures later.
The fork:
Straight Kinesis alloy fork, internal lugs, polished aluminum.
Will take some proper pictures of the frameset on it's own,
I hope this flickr set will do for the moment:
I'm asking 265GBP shipped for the frame, forks and Stronglight a9 headset. Could also throw in a Campagnolo aero seatpost, selle italia turbo lite saddle, cinelli 1R/cinelli la84 cockpit and Fir ea10/campagnolo record front wheel. Basically everything except the cranks and rear wheel.
Donations will be made as usual.
Cheers,
Vytas
