So you're baisically saying expensive hubs aren't worth it then?
These are cheaper than any number of road hubs and about £15 more than Dura Ace NJS hubs, which any number of people are happy to recommend...
In this instance, the quality of the hub, bearings, etc. is outstanding, it also happens to allow you to run a single gear on any frame.
I see the point you're trying to make, but it's kind of invalid if you ask me...
