Tourney: Christmas Bench, Sunday 22 December 2013, Hackney Downs MUGA

Hey LPC come one, come all, the tourney starts at 11 sharp, so turn up let's say at 10 or latest by 10.30-ish if you can? That said the cap stays at 35, I could not ignore those who committed their time and money to make this tourney, so those on the list still gets priority over those who turn up on that day.

However as the attrition from the list is already happening, chances for those who turn up on the day have pretty much improved from a week ago, so if you are keen, do turn up, I am not turning anyone away but as I already said, I am rewarding commitment to polo which is not a bad thing eh seeing that we barely have the numbers for quite a few throw in nights in London? I have been vocal about this, going back to 2011 and I remain true to what I said then, something to ponder LPC? ;)

As for the day itself. I paid for lights from 3pm to 9pm, I have received the confirmation that the relevant peeps have been informed about it and will follow up tomorrow and on Thursday to be very sure about them actually switching the lights on and not bugger us up again a.l.a. Haymakers v. 6' Under. Let's say at 30 (very conservative and more than achievable), it's 2 quid each, yeah, 2 bloody quid each for 10 hours of polo! BARGAIN no? :D

I'll also be running an up to date list of players who will and might turn up from 8 am 22nd December in order to furnish captains the best list of who's in, who's not and who's maybe when the draft happens at 10.30-ish.

Sorry that I did not budge on the cap but I think it is fair and I have already received plenty of positive feedback on that. If you wanna play, or just heckle or have a pint or two with the wider polo community before we bade farewell to 2013, here's your chance.

On a personal note, I would love to see Dublinkev, Mike Push Cycles, Ollie Dinos, Proverand, Lockett, Lebowski, Sarah, Venn, Sandy, Alexis woods, the other Alexis, Barry, Tom, Lish, Fiona, Stephen, Kit, Angus, Tailz, the Heythrop crew make an appearance if possible or any forumers on lfgss.com who just wanna meetup and have a good laugh. Last but not least, the octogenarian from across the river, I am talking about you Slain, maybe drag B, Rick, Object and Charlie along too? ;)

There's also something I would like to announce on that day too, would only be disclosed on that day itself at 10am. So be there if you wanna know.

Oh yeah, fancy dress in whatever Christmasy (is that even a word?), no extra points for that but hey, it's Christmas!!! Post tourney party, Stars of Hackney Downs?
