How many actuations?

Err, good question! I'll check that once I've received my CF card reader to extract a pic out of the camera. Will get back to you on that sometime this week.

Did you check the shutter count with EOS? Or you've tried to extract it from exif? Canons doesn't let you to see the actual number via EXIF.. Sorry, but it's unbelievable that the number could be so low, knowing that usually these cameras are bought by professionals and used heavily.

Sorry but Canon 1D cameras do let you see the shutter count via EXIF Data, (Photoshop CS4 & above) up until the 1DSMk3 from then on only Canon could tell you the true shutter count. But that said this one does seem to have a very very low shutter count. MAYBE its had the shutter replaced at some time. I had my 1DSMk3 shutter fail at 47000 actuations & Canon replaced it cost £260 = £80 for the shutter the rest was for a full service & labour. The easiest way is take a photo & email it to the potential buyer & let them check it via the Exif data themselves. SIMPLES.
