Have you ever tried bar tape on risers?? Will it look silly??

Ideally I would like to keep the "world champion" colour scheme going so I am thinking of getting the same bar tape again!

I could add some gel pads before applying the tape to make the grip thicker and more comfortable.

Yes I've taped risers but only stupidly narrow ones and with cloth tape, I found it comfy enough.

You shouldn't have a problem taping yours and I reckon it'll look fine, otherwise you would always paint the bars a little bit and get some clear grips.
