Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

I was advised (by a friend who works for an insurance company) to add people (my mother, father, girlfriend, her parents) to my insurance, checking with each addition what the impact was- I stopped when the cost stopped dropping.

I pay ~£400/year, fully comp on a group 20 car.
