Nearly £900 for a shitty Polo is not worth it. BMW and Merc are though.
I owned a 1.8-litre Merc 190E (my first car, aged 26) for 7 years in London (2004-2011, N16 then W9) - parked kerbside, the usual.
Cheapest year was about £750, most expensive about £1100. Elephant, then Admiral. No complaints tbh.
