  • Hmm.. phone that works when I 'need' it or small refund after I bitch about it not working.. hmm.. let me think about that...

  • I was amused by all the bitching about lost work too. If its your business phone, get a business contract. Or, 'you get what you pay for'.

  • I'm on 3 now, and I do love it. It works as well as Vodafone did (if not better in some places) and the speeds have been awesome. The unlimited internet is great (no issue with tethering the laptop when I need to).

I tried PAYG on all networks and concluded that, for me, 3 were as good or better than the others.

Radio signals being what they are, you should perform the same experiment if you really want to know.

  • All,

Thanks for taking the time to respond and for your viewpoints. I'll have a look at '3'.

  • I'm with giffgaff as well, but have been pretty dissapointed by thier outages. They don't coincide with o2's outages either. Sometimes it's just voice calls, sometimes data services, sometimes both. Probably only once every 2 months, but usually at crucial times like Friday afternoon/evenings.

Thier payback scheme is alright though: i've earnt at least a quid just moaning on their messageboard about outages.

You can get a fiver for answering q's on the forum so over the last years contract (£120) I've probably earned half it back which isn't too bad

  • Dredge!

Out of contract with O2 now but still with a perfectly good iphone so am getting off them as they are bloody expensive. 3 looks good for unlimited data and lots of minutes but Tesco are doing some really really cheap deals at the moment sim only. They seem to use O2 so should be good.

    Anyone got any experience?

  • Any tried The People's Operator?

  • Found orange / EE reception even for voice was zero in the streatham hill area.
When out cycling in Surrey/Kent no data meaning I often got lost without maps.

Moved to Giffgaff/O2 and its like another world, will update to G4 when it comes in march. Only gap in data ive noticed is 100 meters before elephant and castle station.
    Good speedy coverage everywhere else.
