2013-12-08 - Rider Down, Layhams Road

We passed a rider who'd come off on the sharp, greasy corner just past the Met Police Dog training school (as you come back into London).

Lots of claret on the road, and the chap looked a bit of a sight but he seemed ok.

He was thinking/speaking clearly and was being helped by a couple who'd been driving and had stopped when they found the rider in the road.

That corner always has the potential to catch you out, thankfully it appeared that the rider didn't sustain much beyond a shallow wound.

Was talking to a girl in Cadence earlier apparently she & three other ladies came down on the same road yesturday.

That corner is notorious, I shall treat it with all due respect.
Interesting you noticed blood... last time I had an accident the police called the local council to come and clear it up - we only had plastic glove to stem the bleeding with.

When traveling South -> North, yes. I found this out the hard and expensive way earlier this year.

I passed this probably 45 minutes after Neil and Howard, and the rider was still there with two policemen in attendance. He was up on and on his feet.

I hope the injuries weren't serious and wish the rider a speedy recovery.
