  • This is what worries me.

  • Giroud's strike. Unlucky.
Barkley looked good, but I'd been primed to spot that by reading Michael cox.

Gerard whassisface, got some stones hasn't he?

Looks like a bit part player though, high impact sub type.

    Is that about right?

  • Arsenal played well in spots. Draw was fair.

  • I more concerned that when we get seven shades of shit kicked out of us, BFS will utter the "now we can concentrate on staying up" line.

Hammer on the train up said if we didn't score 4 we were shit... I don't think confidence was high.

On the journey home a west ham 'fan' had a 1/2 scarf on I asked him why.. said it was his first trip to anfield... nice little memento of a pasting

  • Liverpool did good business this weekend. They couldn't have hoped for better results the saucy cunts.

it was a great set of results... spurs losing would had made it perfect

3 very tough games coming up and one home game against Cardiff we'll need to win.
difficult to call as out away form is sketchy.. City will turn us over, a point and the bridge and hopefully get something at spuds

Watching the mancs getting beaten in the pub before the match was fun, at the end they were showing all the glum faces and the whole pub was cheering everyone.

  • Fuck knows how we didn't win that!

Ace performance...top of the league my arse!

    #66%possesion

Got those restricted view seats again then?

*.....Wenger later complained at how Everton had constantly committed fouls whenever they lost the ball so that they could press higher up the pitch and said that this tactic represented a “new problem” for referees. *

What the fuck are you taking about you helmet?!

Fuck me, they don't like it up 'me do they??

He's right, your lot were playing the Chelsea foul constantly in the first half hour, in fact it was Lukaku trying it, and getting it spectacularly wrong, that finally seemed to wake us up.

  • Losing to Fulham. Shit.

Tight in Mid table, but we should overhaul Utd over the next couple of weeks..

  • Losing to Fulham. Shit.

Fulham were actually pretty good. You pressed with a high line but really lacked an attacking threat. Benteke was useless.

Did you see the Lukaku/Koscielny incident? it was right in front of me but i was following the ball. it didn't look much but it was enough for Lukaku to drop his head and hide for the next 30 mins

I thought it was a well earned point, Everton never really threatened but kept the ball well. we were far deadlier going forward but everton have a great midfield.
Big Phil was fantastic for them and if they keep their midfield in place they will be top 4 with ease.
I loved how the Everton players dragged Arteta over to the Everton fans after the match. nice touch!

Stop it, you're sounding like a Kopite

We were the better team, end of

  • Love the editing on MOTD, anyone'd think the BBC is awash with Kopites!

Christ, they made it look like we came to defend all game?!

They show the 'highlights' then in the post match analysis chat they then go in to show snippets of our outstanding wingback play an Barkley's dominance YET the same snippets were not in the original highlights they featured 10mins before?!

you won the passing in the 1st half, no shots on target though...

I thought you lot bossed the 30 emphatically, ars then came back into itfor probably the next 30 go the goal that spurred you on a bit and you came back into it and got your goal (which I cheered and still feel dirty about) after that I thought it was fairly even

    Draws a fair result

  • Shit...keep forgetting, passing don't win you prizes

Yeah, that was the incident I was talking about. Lukaku lunged in well after the ball had been played, just a crude attempt to break the attack before it got going but so, so late. It appeared Webb saw it as he signalled advantage tho he should have gone back and booked him. Some were suggesting it was a sending off but I couln't say for sure, and it never appeared in the highlights.

    Sit down, shut up.

Draw was a fair result. We conceded too much possession in the first half but Everton didn't make much out of it, we then took our foot off the gas after the goal and invited too much pressure. Good attacking end to the game with 2 solid chances each to win it. Shot for shot the game was pretty even and as Arteta said, they were the best team we've face so far this season.

Probably should have started with Flamini. Jenkinson struggled early on, his reluctance to get forward allowed them to press higher up the pitch, but he grew into the game.

  • Shit...keep forgetting, passing don't win you prizes

learnt that last season.. you completely out passed them in the first 30mins 171-72 or something like that. Not many teams can do that

Your pretty much on the mark there, highlights really skewed the balance of play, but for all the possession, shot for shot the teams were pretty even. The technical points showed a bit more of what Everton were doing but but it's just not actiony enough to go in the final cut as it won't keep the MOTD punters awake post pub. Highlights are put together like someone watching a porn flick, they fast forward through the story to get to the action.

  • I just came to say that the way Everton play reminds me of Dortmund - who for me have been our toughest opponent this season. If you had shown me these results on Friday afternoon I'd have been happy.

Would've been nice to see Giroud's shot go in though! :)

  • Oh and on the Lukaku trip, it was possibly a yellow card for a stupid thing to do but certainly nothing more.

Gareth Barry and Jagielka were particularly impressive.

  • Lukaku Shcmaku....

Funny how none of you lot have mentioned the blatant attempt to foul Lukaka by Arteta in the 93rd min....he skinned him n turned jut inside your half and ran towards goal...lego'ead took a lash out at him but Lukaku just legged it off towards goal then twatted it over the bar

Sorry, my mind wandered off then....you were saying?

  • Oh....and Marty Feldman cost more than our 14 players yesterday!

And Seamus Coleman cost us £60,000...SIXTY THOUSAND POUNDS!

  • Time of the month?

  • lack of sleep I'd imagine

  • Marty Feldman is pretty good.

  • Oh....and Mesut Ozil cost more than our 14 players yesterday!

No idea how you work that one out but I was always taught to show my working, so:

    Lukaku - 20
    Barry - 12
    Distin - 5
    Jagielka - 4
    Pienaar - 4.5
    McCarthy - 12
    Howard -2
    Oviedo - 2
    Miralles - 6
    Coleman - .06

    which equals 65,500,060.

    Ozil cost 42m.

  • Everton didn't buy Lukaku or Barry though, so that doesn't count against their spends.
