• This forum does to some extent rely on the dealers (who usually donate to LFGSS themselves) providing the rare and special frames which give many people the impetus to check the classifieds regularly. How can this not be acknowledged as a positive contribution?

I get the making money vs community vibe debate but if not here surely it just goes to ebay, lfgss looses out on donations, new members and nice frames. It doesn't seem practical for the longevity of the forum to try to shame these people.

Most people charge what something's worth, relative to the forum. It's only when we can actually trace the profit that we get pissed.

Edit: I don't turn a profit on anything I sell, and I get both sides of the argument, but I feel one side hasn't been acknowledged to the extent it should've been.
