Market value relies on knowledgable and prudent buyers and sellers, and proper marketing. If one or more of these is not in play then the sales price could end up being above or below market value. Re-selling quality stuff at a fair price is fine by me. No-one would say £2k was a reasonable asking price if jimjam was a moron who'd just paid that on ebay - I think the same thing applies in reverse.
