Well, if you do want to give it a try some time, have this advice for happy crossing:

• you don't need expensive slide film, but fresh chemicals in developement are a good thing.
  
• use a contrasty camera / lens. stop down. "bokeh" does not really work with xpro, it' really more about the sharp things.
  
• the more sun the better. artificial light is usually worthless. i shot one under bulbs the other day that turned out alright, but it's an exception
