One particular point to note is that while private car owners might continue to drive their own cars for a while to come, taxi firms will make the switch as soon as possible. The savings to them will be significant enough to make it worthwhile and the occupation of taxi driver will be eliminated.

I would imagine that people who choose to drive their own cars or can't afford a new robocar will be priced off the roads with insurance and taxes.
