  • That steerer tube's a bit too long ;)

  • Will the frame get decals/paint?

  • Will the frame get decals/paint?

Neither, I hope. That frame is a serious piece of work.

The setback seatpost, wheel decals and fizik loaf are kinda distracting me, but mainly because that is one of the best looking frames i've seen... and I want one....and those forks are lovely!! This thread needs details.

  • I think it looks really good without paint, downtube decals would be nice though.

    ^+1 on details.

  • Making sure the height is correct Jingle Jangle before I get it cut. How's the Ron Cooper?

  • Fork blades are custom made for Roberts by Reynolds I think and are thicker than normal. Thought about Columbus Max but didn't like the fork crown.

  • Couldn't see the point in painting frame as the paint always ends up becoming chipped so went for the plain metal look with just a coat of lacquer. The forks have a stainless engraved crown to match the already engraved bb shell.

  • Either your camera has epic distortion, or that's actually a 5-degree stem.

  • forking hell those are nice. want.

  • If you're having this custom made why the lay-back post?

  • Making sure the height is correct Jingle Jangle before I get it cut. How's the Ron Cooper?

The Ron Cooper is great, thanks. Have put it to bed for the winter.

    This project is ace.

  • ^ comfort ? bit more flex up the ass. ?

  • Forks are yum.

  • I like the look of the shorter frame

  • That was for James 1234

  • mr B it's a zero degree X4 stem and the camera does have converging verticals as it's a 24mm lens.

  • Need comfort these days

  • Finished

  • Sweet! Needs some decals imo though.

  • Got Roberts engraved on fork crown and bb shell. Wanted it as plain as possible.

  • Looking forward to first ride as soon as chest infection gone.

  • Got Roberts engraved on fork crown and bb shell. Wanted it as plain as possible.

There's a headtube badge too, that's enough imo.
Regarding the wheels though, I have a suggestion. Take a craft knife and...

  • I know nothing about geometry, largely speaking, but if the head tube is that high, why isn't the seat tube longer? If it was the top tube would meet the head tube at a higher point on the HT, no? Just looks a bit small compared to the amount of seat post you have. Also, for me, Thompson on a steel lugged frame is just wrong.
