Seat post clamp

Lent my bike to a mate (should know better!) and he's some how rounded out the slot in the left side of the seat post clamp that stops the allen nut from rotating when you tighten it up. Still works fine if you have two allen keys, just annoying. Anyone come across this before? Hopefully easily rectified, but have a feeling it might be more trouble.

should add, its a lugged frame, and the clamp and the lug look like one element

Anyway new clamp/lug sounds expensive, no chance of just building it up again with a bit of tig weld?
