Carbon fibre link?

Has anyone used the new PowerCordz housing with Dura Ace 7900 levers? Di2 if there is a difference.
I'm using their traditional outer at the moment which works very well, but I'd like to make the cable paths slightly better so thought this might be a good opportunity to change to the new system.
However- when I tried the iLinks I found that they worked very well with SRAM shifters, and very badly with Shimano.

Cant help with DA.
I have a full set of brake and derailuer inners at the postoffice. Picking them up on the way home. The gear cables now come with blue plastic grommits.
I assume I pop one over the sinch bolt, and wrap the powercord around it. No?

I've tried using the grommits, and gave up on them- most recently I just wrapped the cord around the cable mounting post and tightened the retaining nut down whilst applying some tension to the cord to maintain the wrap, as it were.

Think thats how I had mine done.
Not redoing the front derailuer as its absolutely dialed. But I need to do the rear mech and both brakes.
Think I've improved the installation of SwissComp outers. So in theory I just thread them through my liners and tie them off.
Still expecting a workroom tantrum or 2.

The powercordz I removed for maintainance could have gone right back in TBH. Even after years of abuse. That is if I did'nt have a hissy fit, while holding some wire cutters, after busting my right shifter. Even cut my front brake cable pulling stuff apart. How long have I been riding euro-set-up bikes FFS.
Awesome things once fitted.

As I'm about to replace my powercordz. I gave in to the temptation of ordering a 25cm pre-assembled section of Vertebrae, for my rear mech loop.
.....then a few days later I figured I get some 35cm sections for my shifters.
.....Now I'm thinking I'll just get a couple more 35cm sections + one 20cm section for my brakesDont seem to be able to stop pissing money onto the BMC.
Still the idea of Kevlar cables, teflon liners, Ceramic outers, and heat shrink covering does sound like the ultimate cabling system.
I'll probably wack my SwissComp outer segments, ends, and a load of liner up for sale.

What was your original logic?
That the rear loop is the biggest bend on the system and therefore would improve shifting? Was there an issue with the shifting before, or is it just trying to get a slight improvement?
I've always thought I'd rather use these systems for brakes over shifters as that's where you'd feel the most improvement(?).

I was struggling to get into the big sprocket.
My theory is that inperfect cabling was losing me say 0.8% throw per shift. So you go up the cassette with lovely campag clicks, yet end with a 8.8% deposit at the big sprocket. Probably installation error by me.
The only reason I started with the rear loop, was that I could get it delivered free, and it came in under the import tax limit. The 35cm sections dont.
My braking is really solid. The SwissComp segmental system is one of the best out there. My mate bought nokon, and reckons my SwissComp was on a completly different level in terms of quality and usability. I just got curious I guess.

Placebo or not, but I always felt that there was a shifting improvement and certainly felt a braking improvement using these compression less systems.
Having used Nokon and I links I'm in agreement with SF's mate in that in my opinion Nokon is the 'poorer' cousin despite the cost.

I've ordered a full brake kit with the new segmented housing from powercordz, be interested to see what it is like. Their standard housing is very good.

I subscribe to the 'ceramic is betterer' theory. So it must be good.

It looks very cool.
I wonder how it fits into shifters. That can be a pain with these systems. -

That's why I got rid of my iLinks- they simply didn't work with my levers.

Well. When I get around to stripping the BMC. I'll have a unused box of Nokon gear outers, and a big pile of SwissComp (bought off EBay, and was sent enough to do the BMC twice over for some reason).
My mate will probably want a decent price for his Nokons as he hasnt used them. They're a bit poo in the flesh though. So I may just EBAy them. I'll put the SwissComp on here. They're tricky to find, and a great product, so I'd rather someone from the forum got them.
Reallly need to sell all the things, if I'm going to get the BMC where I want it over winter.

SF directed me towards this after my query in DJ's commuto X thread. PowerCordz is currently having 50% off sale with code THANKSGIVING13 so a brake set is coming up at $46/£29 might pull trigger soon.

Just ordered a 2m bundle of the Swift housing. Should do a ikle bike easily. $31.75 delivered to Norway.
I still hope to go with Vertebrae for the BMC. But I had to get some at that price.
What are those?
At the moment I'm lusting after these:
