there are also the "Mother Jones (MoJo)" No Sweat hi-tops. They look like the converse high tops. I used to be able to get them easily in england but nowadays not as available (?) /less colour options - worth checking a few websites though

This vegan shoe company has mostly union-made, and all no-sweat, shoes: http://www.mooshoes.com/index.php
And New Balance is not union, but they do make 1/4 of their shoes in the US in non-sweatshop conditions. The New Balance 99X series shoes are all made in the US.
