For Sale: Rapha Softshell XL

Posted on
  • For sale, one Rapha softshell in XL. Worn infrequently over the last few winters. Probably 4 times a year for the last 3 years. Very warm, very tough etc etc. Selling because it's just too big for me now.

Condition is good, although the stitching on the thumb loop things came out almost immediately and has remained in the same condition since. Never got round to sending it back to Rapha, or getting it sorted by a tailor - though was quoted £10 by my local dry cleaner to repair it. I've shown it as best as I can in the photos, doesn't affect the practicality of wearing it - if I was keeping it I would probably just cut them off.

    Sizing info is here: http://www.rapha.cc/classic-softshell-jacket

Apologies for the crap photos - don't have access to a photo studio at the moment.

    **Price is £90 - pickup from se24 / nw6 **

No dibs - just PM's please.

  • Thats cheap.

  • I think so too :)

  • If that was a more nodder friendly colour, I'd bite your hand off at that price.

  • black is the new fluro. Coming back around init.

  • Well I'd argue the addition of a bright gilet would sort out any visability needs. While allowing you to own a nice looking jacket. That isnt going to clash with everything.

But Mrs Smallfurry wouldnt see it that way.

  • wear the rain flap down - the logo is well reflective :)

  • This jacket is very good value for money

  • Thanks

  • ha

  • I'll take it... Mine's getting a bit scrappy...

  • prov sold now

  • XL Joe?

You planning on tucking into extra mince pies at Xmas?!

  • Joe likes the hip hop look

  • I maybe interest if Joe ends up being too slight for it...

  • ^ You are XXL or have you lost wait since I last saw you?

  • this is all getting a bit personal

  • These forrins eh?!

I may be xxl at the moment, but not far off an xl, if the measurements on the site are accurate?

Do the measurements refer to your size or the size of the garment?

Can anyone with experience help, what inch chest would this suit?

  • I have shrunk from about a 43 inch chest to a 40.5-41 so I'm now bang on for a large. The sizing of the xl is generous and the measurements are accurate - you would need to be pretty ample around the middle for it not to fit you. Even at my largest I still had room for a jersey and baselayer underneath.

  • Oh it definitely wouldn't fit me now, have let myself go a bit, but it should fit me by January... I don't want to get a xxl and have it be too large in the future. I'm a 46 chest currently, but expect to be back to 42-43 soon...

    Anyway, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> weightloss/depression threads...

I had a large and it was tight across the chest .id say Xl would suit someone who takes a large and is bigger than a 42 chest.

  • yeah, the large is generous on the chest, bit less so around the middle.

  • decent jkt
