Okay my new lock ring just arrived, and just to be sure that the thread was definitely fucked on my hub I chucked it on there, it worked fine.
Derpface over here used a fucked lock ring, and then tried another fucked lock ring and then blamed the hub. #idiot
This leads me to question where all these lock rings came from and why I've kept hold of them.....
