In my experience, the GP Supersonic is at least as fragile as the VFR., and at Ribble the VFR is actually £1 less than the Conti.
What you really need is spare wheels, so you can use something tough/cheap for less important races and keep the bling tyres for best. That's my plan; VFR front/Open Corsa Slick rear for when I'm trying to go fast, Diamante Radiale 22F/24R for club TTs.
