Seriously - the last thing I'd want a £30m player to do is waste time by immersing himself in the culture of Manchester (chips and gravy shouldn't be on the menu for elite athletes and neither should there be a pint of mild), reading books or taking English classes. Providing he understands his teammates on the pitch I couldn't care less whether he speaks Hindi, Arabic, German, Spanish or English.
No - I do appreciate him. Just delighted to see he'd learned some English to the point where he can use it in an interview. It shows some commitment.
