Pink handlebars?? I'm open to ideas but I think I'd hold out till I put the bike together. There will be a lot of black going on for the bars to match, it's sexy raw carbon, and you don't want it being *too *pink, do you?

Pink frame and bars, yes. Gold hubs, no.

Any tips for smoothening out the welds? Filler orso?
Maybe drop noca a message: https://www.lfgss.com/member18885.html
He had a frame built that he filled in and painted.

Well I'm thinking in line of the De Rosa King RS 2014 models, (http://www.i-ride.co.uk/Root/Images/De%20Rosa%20King%20RS%20Lumina/Thumbnail/Pink%20King%20RS.jpg) those are just too much in my opinion, but I'll tape the bars completely with Black DSP, so you'll only see the stem and a little bit of the bars, bearing cap is also just black. I hope to get exactly the right amount of pink.
Don't know about the gold hubs yet, but they'll be low flance if I will go for them.
Noca's work is indeed really beautiful!

Pink forks?

Yep, also maybe will go for 'sensa' along the forks like Chas his Mash (because my boss wants me to put the brand on the bike hehe.

for reference.

Thanks, the idea is actually quite similar. I do however think that looks like a dogs diner.

• #10
exactly. be careful.

I see what you mean, I think I won't use the RAM but just the Zipp service course SL set I've got, including seatpost. Will be nice I guess. Also thinking of a different colour in bar tape, but not sure yet. something blue or green orso.

yellow + yellow decals/accents would be my vote.

As above.
Yellow biekz are the coolest

replace celeste with pink, done. And gold hubs + bling bits as mentioned.
-
• #17
A bit like that, but nicer, black bartape for example.
Also that bike belongs to a complete cunt (not that that has anything to do with my project).

Doesn't surprise me looking at that

So we're going to try 'plasti dip' onto this frame, just because we're wondering how it will come out (it's not that expensive at about 15 euro's for each can and we'll need about 3 cans).
plastdip:

Will also go for Zipp Service Course SL bars, seatpost and stem (and probably bottle cages).

You don't expect a serious answer, do you?

Took a while, but hopefully the wheels will be back this or next week.
Also got some nice parts:- Sram Force groupset (10 speed model)
- Zipp Service Course SL bars, stem and seatpost
- Hope Mono RS hubs laced to Ryde Pulse sprint wheelset

Finally managed to get a single frame through my job, normally Sensa doesn't sell framesets but now I could get one.
Basically it's light alu frameset with tapered full carbon forks and internal cable routing. They've sent me a raw one and I'll have it painted pink (RAL4003).
Got me a pair of Ram2 handlebars which I will also have painted RAL4003.
Groupset will be 6700 Ultegra and I'll probably go for a Thomson Inline seatpost and black DSP bartape.
Wheels will be de-stickered Aksium's for the time being (never had any problems with those wheels). Will get some Chinese Carbon on gold hubs after I've saved some cash and when the season has started again.
Saddle wise I'll always go for a classic flite just because they're my favourite.
Any tips for smoothening out the welds? Filler orso?
