Does anyone have any examples of sugino 75 cranks with an omnium chainring? Trying to decide whether it would work or if I should be looking for a new chainring.

Omnium rings are decent enough and unobtrusive enough that it should work fairly well.

^^^ possibly the worst picture to choose... pic of it dis assembled with tighter stem and track drops would have been more appropriate in this case

would still recommend front white mag wheel for flossin sake

Couple of options to save it

• black saddle, desticker the front wheel, get woodups, black cable

• replace black hardware with silver, nice set of shallow sliver rims laced to some nice DA hubs, chrome folks, some white grips, white cable.

I'm assuming the folk is 1''

Black black looks pretty good! Which is handy.

The Omnium ring is thicker than standard track rings like Sugino, which means if you look really closely there is a small step from the ring to the spider arm. It doesn't look bad from a distance and it works fine as a drivetrain, but if you're mad on detail and making everything look perfect then I'd find another ring. Maybe a black 75 ring or DA.

if you'd be mad on detail you wouldn't be thinking about mixing components ;)

Well I've got a set of omniums but I'm hopefully doing a switcheroo for some 75s. The switchee doesn't want to trade rings though so I'll hold on to the omnium ring for now. I'll see how it looks but I'm not mega mega fussy.

if you still want to swap at the start of dec, then I have sg75s 165mm with a sg75 ring I want to swap for omniums + ring, but I don't want to do the swap before I get my new frame. Obviously the swap's pending condition
