Your image isn't working but I'd be interested to see it.
How early are we talking?

Might be a bit short still....I'll get out my measuring tape.

Apologies, it's 70s, just updated the OP. Can never figure out how to embed Flickr images.

Lovely frame!
I think it's this that used to be built up like so:

I usually love gumwalls but I think on that build they look a little off...perhaps it's the tandem of them with the black and silver?

I'm planning a vaguely similar build, but with drops, clipless, front brake etc

Removing all the logos/de anodising and polishing does wonders for the miche crankset.

I'm starting to think my Dave Russell isn't actually a Dave Russell.

It's one of these older versions, so not too offensive, bit contrasting with the rest of the build though, particularly the hubs. How picky do I want to be?
P.s are they well respected cranks? The older version I mean... Got a primato BB to go with it so it's an easy way of getting a nice chainline.

Get them polished up, most won't even recognise them.

Lovely detail of the swan in the frame.

Just a quick mock up - wondering what you think about the crankset and seatpost? I need a good 20cm of seatpost showing for my long legs so swapped a Thomson over. Any suggestions for something as long but perhaps a little more period looking?
Is the crankset a bit modern and shiny too?
Debating over a cross top lever (seems difficult to find classic looking ones that can also pull enough cable) or a bar end lever. A bar lever like a Dia Compe 188 perhaps: http://www.tokyofixedgear.com/products/115-Brake-Levers/325-Dia-Compe---188-Reverse-Leavers---SilverBrown/.
Black cloth tape for the bars, and will replace the white concor with a black one....or perhaps a brooks.
It's a 25c gatorskin on the front, which is why the clearances look especially tight. Will swap this out for a 23c.

Also really happy with the wheels, 28spoke lacing with high flange looks mint!

Looks fucking rad.

Glad you approve!

Very nice, what bars and stem are those?

I've seen this about a few times!
After getting frustrated constantly cleaning the drivetrain and worrying about the chrome on my geared Pinarello, I decided to build up a track bike on the cheap for commuting longer distances. Plan is to spend as little money as possible without making the whole thing too offensive.

Found this lovely cheap Dave Russell courtesy of 3speed_abbots, which should be arriving on Monday.
I've got a set of Maillard 700 track hubs laced to Mavic SUP (front) and Wolber T430s (rear), a cinelli 2a stem and scratched Pista bars. The stem is missing the clamp attachment for the bars.
There's also a Miche Primato crankset knocking about, bit too modern, but perhaps forgivable?
I'll also need a 27.2 seatpost with enough length for my long legs, campag aero etc are always too short. Should I splash out on a Thompson or is there something more period correct, which is long enough, which would work nicely?
Also on the look out for a clamp on brake...
More photographs to come on arrival of the frame. Cheers all!
