I've got a most of a rival groupset, bought it in bits and pieces from here for a project which looks like it isn't happening. It would need a chain and a cassette to complete. It owes me 300.

Dom, that would look so good with 8/9 speed* Campag......they can be had for 200-250 on t'bay, just make sure you go for double pivot.
Also, cheapest way to buy a groupset is buy a full bike and sell frameset etc ;)
*I wouyldn't go for 10/11 speed for a budget build, as the consumable parts like chains are very expensive

Sell frame, forks, bars, stem, pedals, seatpost, saddle and you'll have a very cheap groupset!

Thanks for the advice man, appreciate it.
I've actually been offered a set of Shimano/SRAM compatible Mavic Ksyriums for a good price, so I'm leaning towards Shimano/SRAM for the rest of the group.
Though I'd like something fairly cheap for now, I'd ultimately like a nice SRAM group; going this way from the start should allow me to upgrade (wheels/group/frame) over time without a complete restart…

Made ultegra 6700 more palatable
At bargainacious £80
JB passed black Dave on to me and I'm looking to build him up fairly cheaply for now:
So I'd like to try and source a reasonably priced full groupset. I'm ideally looking for a SRAM group but I'll consider anything if the price is right.
If anyone has anything for sale (or recommendations) please PM.
Cheers,
Dom
