My LBS (Perry Cycles, Woolwich) recut the bottom bracket (English thread) and made up the headset from parts he had lying around - to fit the 1" forks.

I assume that means you're calling 'dibs' then?
I'm only in Kensington during the day (9am - 5.30pm). I live in Chesham the rest of the time. I could meet you at Baker St or Marylebone at about 8am or 6pm if that helps?

Send me a pm and I'll send you the address and my phone number.

I'd gladly do so, but I can't as there are some restrictions on new thread opening and PM's for newbies (me).
I can give you my e-mail if that helps - dmitrij"DOT"ph"AT"gmail.com
If not tomorrow then I can come to Kensington at any convenient time on Wednesday. -
