All else being equal (cost, availability etc) what would be people's preference over a PT or a Stages Rival crankset. This is for a TT bike (used for training and racing) and would not need to be swapped to other bikes, so discount the relative ease of swapping wheels or cranks as that's not relevant. Advantages of the PT as I see it: no L/R balance issues, wheel covers could be used to give almost disc performance, tried and tested. Disadvantages: a bit more maintenance, slightly heavier option. Advantages of the Stages: training wheels can be swapped for dedicated race wheels without losing power, lighter. Disadvantages: guesstimated power for half the measurement, extra cost of separate training/race rear wheels. What have I missed? What would you do? Thanks in advance.
