  • Shame to lose you both. Hope the neck sorts itself out, and I hope Jurek's work is bearable.

  • I'm out too. Gotta be in the office
    employment >>>>>>>>>>

  • I was really looking forward to this, but have been home from work today with a pretty full on cold, if the ride had been today I would have bailed.

But... I am thinking of joining up tomorrow morning just to prove something to myself (not sure what). Will the route go near any train stations? The other option is to head back after an hour or two.

    There'll be other rides...

Train stations we pass will include Roydon, we will also go close to Harlow and quite close to Stortford, not a million miles from Audley End. There may be others.

  • Afraid I'm not going to be in attendance now guys, mechanical failure, no pedals :-(

  • bloody hell there'll be no one left by the morning.

  • With 40 cyclists, she's going to have to get a bigger dog

if there's 40+ on the list, expect about 1/3rd to turn up. I predict 15

  • I predict 30 still will turn up!

  • 30! i predict a riot

  • drunk. tired. flat tyre. no lights. no bottle cage. in.

  • bloody hell there'll be no one left by the morning.

lool get me, will be like the spiral one.. I would like to think 20 will turn up

  • drunk. tired. flat tyre. no lights. no bottle cage. in.

I've got a spare bottle cage if you want to use it

  • Bloody typical, 60 mile ride in the morning and can't sleep.

  • Someone wake me up at 7.30 thanks

  • You are not alone - Glen and I are up too!!! Final checks on body and bike!

  • Good morning! Can you push me to Cambridge please?

  • Seven04 - it's sleep-or-stay-up decision time for you!

  • Good morning! Can you push me to Cambridge please?

JohnA - How I can I push you when Glen will be pulling me!!

  • connect our bikes with a tow-rope and to make it easier on Glen he can take his car; keep it in 1st gear it'll technically be a fixie!

  • Just get HoKe to tow everyone.

  • Why am I waking up now for a ride that leaves in 2 and a half hours? 5 minutes before the 5 minutes before etc.

  • Bloody hell. Am up & cooking beans on toast hours before I'm normally up for work. Priorities, etc.

  • Why am I waking up now for a ride that leaves in 2 and a half hours? 5 minutes before the 5 minutes before etc.

At least two of those "5 minutes before" were me, sorry :P

  • I'm out.
    Beaucoup merde.
    And work.
    Gah.

Shame.... haven't seen you for ages. Was hoping it would be a good way to catch up. The best way to catch up with old mates is always on a bike. Although I may still not make it... awaiting a promised phone call telling me I am/am not needed on special family duty today.

  • Jupiter's fading high in the western sky, the contrails have faded from salmon to vanilla and there's a light frost down here in the badlands of Forest Hill. All looking good.

  • If anyone is flagging, pop into bishops Stortford fire station (nearly on the route) for a warming cuppa!
