  • Please be nice, as this is the first thread I have started.

I have a Marsini framed bike that I bought this Summer. It says on the frame "Marsini Force 6 by Ridley". The guy selling it had picked it up in a house clearance and was no cyclist , so I knew very little about it when I bought it, but it seemed to fit me nicely and I liked the bike, so I replaced a tube, pumped up the tyres and with the front tyre on the canvas, rode the bike back to my flat in Old Street from Catford. Since then, I've made some minor alterations to the bike, incuding new tyres of course, but nothing major ... yet.

Anyhow, to the point ... I wanted to find out a bit more about what I thought to be a fairly rare bike, so I trawled the interwebz. I found a fellow forum member fixbmx had a Marsini fixie (nice bike btw!) in this thread ==> http://www.lfgss.com/thread106354.html ... but it didn't tell me much about where the frame originated from, so I looked further, and this is what I think I've found out ...

It seems it might be a custom frame built by Dave Marsh. A friend of mine suggested the bike might be built by him, but using Ridley tubing? If not, what association does Marsini have to Ridley? Has Dave Marsh ever done any building with Ridley? Any ideas?

It would be really nice to find out a bit more about my favourite bike. We've done a fair few miles together this year. Here's the bike ==>
