I was speccing pretty much this exact build on the Planet X website last week for a new winter commuter / longer distance do-it-all bike.
Sadly I'm a titch.

^^There is a draw bolt(?) that goes through the mudguard and sits inside the fork and then a bolt goes through the caliper mounting hole to secure it. The bits to do it came with the mudguards from VO. Nifty set up.

Yeah, Smoothrite satin.
Decided, upon completion, that I actually have no need for this and that I should look to move it on.
XL Pompetamine frame/forks
Hope headset
Hope seat collar
On-One Midge bars
Velo Orange hammered mudguards
Stronglight cranks
8 speed Alfine rear wheel
M495 front wheel
Cane Creek levers
BB5 calipers
Thomson seat post
Thomson stem
Specialized Toupe
VO bell
Conti Cross Race tyres
Elite cages
Wellgo SPD pedals
There is only one thing to note. In order to get clearance for the mudguards at the seatstay/wishbone using the 35c tyres, I had to file down the boss that the guard bolts into. After riding it, this has come loose, so I’m assuming that the boss has come loose from the frame. The mudguard is securely mounted enough that it doesn’t move, and I haven’t been bothered to pull it apart to check. If it has, it could be bonded/soldered/ignored as you see fit.
Unless you can collect from Newcastle/Sunderland, it’d need posting.
Any interest? £450 delivered to your door?
If there is interest in enough of the parts, then I may consider splitting, but I’d rather the whole thing go complete, so will hold out a while first.
