2013-11-13 - Rider Down, Camberwell New Road

I saw the result of another accident today. A young woman had been hit by a van on the Camberwell New Rd. She was being tended by an ambulance crew, but lying badly injured under a blanket in the road.
A cyclist who saw it came alongside, and said the van slammed into her, and she probably had lots of fractures as a result. He was visibly shocked and vowed to stop cycling after what he had seen.
I know it is difficult in London with the road widths, but what we need are kerbs, between the Green/Blue cycling routes and the main road, such as they have in Denmark and parts of Barcelona.
