Bike isn't too big. I'm fully aware of that. I actually think the bike is worth keeping and I offered that as a resolution I thought it was the most straightforward way to rectify it to be honest.
It is the principle.
We will get there I'm sure.

Sales of goods act.
Protects second. Hand purchases too.

if you have anything less than a 130 mm stem or inline seatpost on it then its too big

I tried 54s and 56s until I was blue in the face. I do crazy amounts of research before entering into big purchases and have been looking / trying bikes for around 6 months now.
Opinions aside, bike fitting and test rides led me to 56 whether incorrect or not. It feels best for me.
Size has nothing to do with any of this.

Some sub-6 footer on here somewhere was speculating that 56 would be too small for him. You say that you're 5'9" or 5'10" - ergo, I don't see that 56 is significantly large for someone of 5'9" or 5'10" in height?
Sorry - I'm a bit obsessed with bike size/height ratios, so always feel the need to stick my beak in when the subject comes up.NB. If you like the bike, then why not take the money and be done with it? True, that front wheel is more than 'slightly' out of true, but principles-shminciples; don't cut off your nose to spite your face - it won't be your reputation that's taken a hit.

Okay bike sizes aside, can anyone here personally honestly say that the front wheel could be considered "slightly out of true and totally safe?"
Personal opinions about personality, reasonableness / awkwardness and other keyboard gears to grind aside.
The condition was the only thing I ever cared about and this post is the last I'll say in this thread.
Thanks all for the bike size advice as well. Much appreciated. A 56 is fine with me and, if not, I'll live with the consequences.
Daz A and I will sort it between us somehow. Original object of gleaning opinions has been partially gathered before we got off point a little.

I said that I thought 'that front wheel is more than 'slightly' out of true.' That's all I have to say on that matter.
I reckon 56 is fine for you. That's not all I have to say on the matter, but it is all I shall say on the matter.
Tenners - I know what chevrons are; I just didn't get the reference.
The End.

He wants a front clincher... so far he's been offered a front tub as well as try to flog the rear clincher to someone who wants a rear tub
Don't know if I'd call that even remotely 'sorted'

Yep it definitely fits

Why wouldn't you accept money for a new rim/rebuild? Are you only asking for a full refund because you've realised that the frame is, in fact, too big for you?
did you pay for a rebuild and true when you sold your wheels and the buyer complained?

Sorted as far as possible with Daz A now.
That's not my stem! Mate put it on to see how the bike looks built up.
Time trial forum was an attempt at sorting my wheel situation but it's ongoing. The solution is another wheelset though as I'm not going to find a clincher front.
We live and learn. I am looking forward to getting it into rideable condition asap.
