  • I'm putting this up for sale as I don't the space, parts of money to build it back up, and need to clear my overdraft/raise funds for a new road groupset.

For sale is frame, fork and headset.

Unfortunately the frame developed a small crack while I was using it...

Which has now been repaired, by Woodrup cycles...

I have clearcoated the area to protect from rust developing, a new owner could either leave it that way or have it painted. I thought I would leave that decision to a prospective buyer for now.

I found the frame rode absolutely beautifully, it's built from 531 Super Tourist, which meant that it was very stiff for a skinny steel frame of it's size. Did a couple of 50-60 mile countryside rides on it and really enjoyed them.

The craftsmanship is truly beautiful, just check out that rear bridge.

The frame measures **63.5 **cm CTT on the seat tube and 57 CTC top tube.

I would like £245 posted for this, or £225 collected in Leeds.

    Thanks.

    Tom

  • Such a lovely bike. The head badge is awesome on this. I wish I was a little bit taller...

  • I want it.

  • Cheers J0nathan... Genuinely sad to see it go, just can't justify keeping it.

    Thoma, why resist?

  • tempting

  • Oh wow, what a lovely looking bike. How tall are you TM, if you don't mind me asking?

  • I'm 6 foot 2, I think this would fit someone up to 6'5", perhaps more, but not less than 6'2"... Unless you are all leg.

  • I'm just over 6'3", but a fairly even leg/torso split. I've just got a new job but haven't started yet, so if this is still here in a few weeks (wishful thinking) it might be an early xmas present to myself!

  • Sounds like it would fit you great, I'm hoping though it will have found a new home before then... nothing personal (:

  • Aha, of course man, good luck with the sale. I'll check back intermittently just in case.

  • Unreasonably tempted by this for a winter frame.

  • It's a very, very pleasant ride. Serene and comfortable when it needs to be, great for leisurely commutes... and then on the other hand, took it over and down the cow and calf, stiff enough to feel solid skidding around down into Ilkley, also been off road along the canal... Really versatile frame.

  • Is the fork drilled for a front brake? Kinda hoping not so the temptation to buy this dies.

  • Yep it's drilled.

  • An chance you would post this outside UK? If so, I'm interested but I live in Sweden :(.

  • I don't mind posting it if you cover expenses over the £20 I'm allocating for UK postage. I can check out costs tomorrow.

  • Yes, please do! I'm having a bit of second thoughts about how this would fit me, it felt so right last night but it might be a tiny bit too small for me. If you figure anything out about the shipping it would help me figure out how much I want this frame. I can't PM you since I'm a new forum member.

  • I'm struggling to imagine how a 63cm frame can be too small for anyone.

  • How tall are you Motorcity?

Not confirmed as I'm not sure which carrier to use, but I expect shipping to EU will be £15-20 more on top.

  • I'm struggling to imagine how a 63cm frame can be too small for anyone.

    need me to help explain?

I have 17cm of seatpost showing on my Dodici which is 66cm c-t

  • You are a freak AICMFP

  • What size tyre can u run on it?

  • not checked it, but I would say 28s comfortably, maybe 32 at a squeeze.

How big you wanting to go?

  • I'm struggling to imagine how a 63cm frame can be too small for anyone.

As Apollo already pointed out. It's possible - I have quite some seatpost showing on my 65cm Bob Jackson already.

    TM

I'm just over 200 cm so somewhere between 6'6" and 6'7" I think? I can probably PM you after this 3rd post.
