Dude, I've got your wheel boxed up, will post it on saturday morning.
Frame is boss -
• #3
stuttgart frame builder?
-
• #4
nope...baschin was a sports supplier here in stuttgart, early 80,s they started to get frames made by daccordi. as far as my research, baschin had a team at the first 6 tage rennen in stuttgart 1984. i assume that this frame was ridden at the 6 tage rennen due to its laquer, but its just a guess at the moment.

24 in the front?

had a look in the parts box, 1987 chorus post with arius saddle
-
• #9
i guess its safe to say the frame is a daccordi..
-
• #10
Really nice frame.
-
• #11
That top tube.
-
• #12
Fck that's nice!
So is it a 24" front? -
• #13
Are you going for a more classic build or something slave-tastic?
Beautiful frame BTW
-
• #14
its 24" at the front
i have few parts c-record stored at the basement, and i am thinking if i put the c-record pista cranks off the basso onto this. there s also a campa omega-v rims sitting in the basement, waiting to be build up, so it looks like it will be more c-record than pre c-record

new bearing for miche hub

• #16
Was tempted by this, not sure I could handle 24" front....
glad to see you got the wheel from Ed.
-
• #17
i am pretty excited about the handling of the 24" front as well.
this for sure will not get my new touring fixed, but for some fun at the track this will be a nice bike.
-
• #18
Track or Tarck?
-
• #19
door swings both ways
-
• #20
will you be allowed to ride it with 24" and bullhorn at öschelbrunn?
the v-drome in augsburg only allowes you drop bars and both wheels 700c. -
• #21
are clinchers allowed at augsburg ?
i dont think that anybody at Öschelbronn will give me any trouble cause of the 24" front. they are all in all very friendly and they love bikes.
-
• #22
normally not, but benny never had any problems nor anyone checked the tires.

today the front wheel arrived i got off edmundro (thanks a lot, was a pleasure to do business with you).
i decided to use the campa pista crank i had build into my basso. the basso is a nice ride but i dont ride it that often so i just swapped the crank and bb into the baschin. thats the cheapest and easiest solution to build it up n see how it rides and handels. than if i am totally stoked about the ride i may search for a campa super record pista crank to go along with the head set.
here´s a pic with its new front wheel. i put my cheap winter rear into it to see how it looks. also the moscow bar seems to fit quite nice. i also consider to get a moser bullhorn cause i always wanted one and it could suit the build well.
theres not much space left, but enough to ride it the streets without getting shit piled up inside of the steerer tube.

• #24
Tight!
Needs risers.
-
• #25
i dont fancy risers and they are useless for scannare in the streets
here s the frame
right after the postie dropped it at the shop. now its up to do some cleaning and buffing.
