how much would you want for the f+f if you split?
also - how much for the crankset?
-

Think that is the nicest steamroller I have ever seen.

Thanks DFP, going to be sad to see it go but it just sits on my wall at the moment and i need a more practical steed.
44/17, I'd rather sell it as complete but around 160 for the frame with headset, and 170 for the cranks if i do split it.

Or swap for a 52 or 54 cm Black Surly Cross Check frame set and a half way decent triple group set for it.
54 is massive if you fit well on the 49cm Steamroller, highly advised a 52cm, even I find 54cm to be too long.

Thanks for the advice Edscoble, tbh the steamroller is a little small on me really (I ride a 53 or 54 road bike) but it doesn't feel ludicrously too small so I get the impression Surly's come up a bit big. I've got short arms and although the steamroller is a little short its a good fit length wise.
I need to find a Cross Check to try out really though. Will keep you in mind if i split it

I fit a 53cm Steamroller, and a 52cm Crosscheck, it's longer than the Steamroller that's for sure..
Brixton Cycles have some Crosscheck with road drop to try out.

Frame and chain set sold pending payment.
Right then, I'm looking to build a touring/ commuter bike so sadly its time to sell my faithful Surly Steamroller and fixed gear set up.
Frame: Surly Steamroller 49cm: some scuffs and paint chips but no dents or dings.
Wheels: Surly Hubs (rear Fixed/ Fixed) laced to Velocity Deep V's (front has slight brake wear on the rim). 17t Surly sprocket with Dura Ace lock ring.
Chain Set: Dura Ace 7600 NJS track crank, with 2 Dura Ace chain rings (49 and 48 tooth) with Token BB.
Seat: San Marco Concor black chamois leather (some scuffs and scrapes but reasonably presentable)
Seat post: Deda RS01
Pedals: Black Odyssey Twisted (plastic) with Hold Fast straps.
Stem / Handle Bars: Well you get both sets and the stems:
Set up 1: Gusset Open Prison (cut down), with Snafu grips, bmx stem.
Set up 2: Nitto track bars, with black leather Fizik bar tape and a BBB stem (stem is nothing special).
Optional front brake: basic single pivot Shimano SLR calliper with Diatech Gold Finger leaver.
£500 the lot.
Or swap for a 52 or 54 cm Black Surly Cross Check frame set and a half way decent triple group set for it.
Dibs followed by PM please
