They do put on a hell of a show but I can't take any team's fans seriously if they need cheer leaders (not in the American way). And who decides to be a cheer leader? Who thinks the highlight of their week is to go to a game and spend the 90 mins, back to the pitch, shouting into a megaphone trying to lead the communal singing? That's the trouble with the Germans, easily led, especially when you get them in a big group.
