I didn't dare do that...the road to work is woeful and riddled with potholes, didn't want to risk busting my rim :(
I've ridden flat tubulars on a number of occassions--- even a few times front flats (absolutely NO fun). Alu rims hold up quite well. The main casualty is the tyre.
