So I've got to do a couple of weeks of work experience at the end of the academic year , namely it has to be in a kitchen does anyone on here have a restaurant or know anyone that does ? also going to ask Hawksmoor ect but if anyone knows anyone abd could put me in touch that would be amazing

Finally made it to polpo last night. Very very good but not the spectacular end of all things I was expecting.

Highlights where pork and fennel meatballs and cod cheeks with lentils and a strangely dirty but good fried mortadella with slaw. Would say that the frito misto looked great but did not really taste of much, same with the risotto. I have a suspicion that the sheer number of covers each night and the fact they now have 3 restaurants might have lowered the standard slightly from when it first opened.

It was though tasty and only came to £120 for 4 of us with pudding, a couple of bottles of house red and service which for a popular soho restaurant ain't half bad.
