Walking Dead season 4 so far a return to form after it all got a bit soap opera with the Governor

What? The Governor was the best thing in it. How could David Morrissey in an eye patch not be great?
I noticed last night that Andrew Lincoln has taken to speaking in a whisper all the time again. Then again, he has stiff competition from the rest of the husky mumblers. Worst leading man ever.
I'm waiting for the day one of them slips up and uses the word 'zombie'.Bad Lip Reading: La-bibbida-bibba-dum (extanded Itunes version) - YouTube

the whole compound/village/Governor thing was tedious by the end of it

the prison thing isn't much better. seems like now the only danger from zombies are when they use tired plot devices to literally drop them on top of the cast. the rest is just angsty whining.
I watched the latest episode while upgrading my phone and to be honest I can't tell you what the main storyline plot was. someone had a moan at someone for still wanting to kill the governor even though he's dead and she was all like omg ur so right thanks for telling me, some zombies crawled through a hedge and someone else had a go at someone for killing some people not because it was wrong but because it might upset some people in the group.

ha! yeah. Still worth a watch - it was always really dumb

Heresy!
Objectively, it's a terrible, terrible programme but I do look forward to it. Waiting to see if they can continue their incredible run of never learning from experience, standing around when they most need to leave quickly in order to have a long chat in hushed voices about important thoughts, wondering if his son will have grown another five years in a week, musing on how many hair care products they must have stored up, marvelling at the rule that in general only better than average looking people (and potential child models) will survive the end of the world.
And waiting for that glorious day when the Governor returns, as we all know he will do. -

as long as Maggie isn't binned I'll keep watching - shallow I know

Yes, one good thing about the zombie (I mean walking dead) apocalypse is that it brings hope to all small, shy looking men.

How does that work? Is it based in the US rather than UK or does he play a Brit?

Firefly on Netflix.
A decade old but really very good indeed. I think it came out too early which is why one series only - in today's box-set viewing mentality it would be a massive hit I reckon.
Give it a squint.
