2013-11-05 - Rider Down/Fatality, Mile End Road (London)

Twitter has reports of a fatality on Mile End Road cycle superhighway apparently involving a tipper truck. Can anyone confirm?

Sadly it's true. Male cyclist . No age range given by police.
Appears to have involved a lorry on one of the blue superhighways.

Now confirmed by BBC's Tom Edwards from Met Police. RIP unknown rider :-(

Met confirm a cyclist has died at Mile End Road on CS2 after collison with HGV. Met were called at 1638
November 5, 2013

Also reports on twitter to me of bike, police cordon and tipper truck.

Very, very sad and all too predictable. My thoughts go out to the deceased rider's family and friends.
