  • Cooked 3 course meal as a wedding anniversary present for my parents yesterday, but my sis and her husband, and my gf were there too.

    Pre-meal "snack" was baked Camembert with sourdough bread

    Starter was seared scallops with vierge sauce

    I did two different mains
    Roast fillet of sea bass with parsnip puree and caramelised garlic and shallots
    Steak and chips
    side of buttery garlic green beans

    dessert was coffee and walnut cake

    I don't want to think about cooking again for about a week.

    I used a Michel Roux Jr recipe for the sea bass and there was far too many steps involved. Boiling garlic for 2 mins then drain and then boil again with new water. 5 times. I understand why, but it's effort.

    Anyway, csb etc.
