  • I refur you to;

Or at least a "I'm really hammered so should try to sober up" beer.

Still, it's no reason to make a whole beer, just pop out for a cig or do a tactical sick.

  • Tried the puke trick so many times.

Still think that's a load of shit

  • But there are always hangovers, if I drink a kids beer it just means having a few more pints than a full strength beer, there's no sense to it.

I used to drink strongest down at beer festivals and nights in the real ale bars of Cov. I'm surprised I was never hospitalised.

    Nowadays avoiding hangover is essential.

Thats why I'm home already with a bottle of Hobgoblin, sketchy bbc feed of the track world cup points race and a couple of wheels to tension.

  • I can't burp so get full of air quite quick, a quick trip to the bogs and either a tactical sick or tactical release of air is quite a regular thing, usually just air but it's always nice to have a toilet available just in case.

  • TMI you fucking freak!

    hugs

  • I'm finding all these Badgers brews very sickly sweet.

  • Hopping hare is pretty good but the melony ones are a bit sweet.

  • Just finishing off a mini-keg of Doom Bar fresh from the coast. Lurvely.

  • Got 32 pints of St. Peter's IPA home brew bubbling away... Smells proper peng bruv.

Yeah, this. If I'd just stuck with the Hopping Hare and there was one other one that was ok it'd be alright but I've done their whole range one after the other and it was wrong. I'm ok with sweet stuff generally (24hrs of gels you have to be) but this was wrong. Rocket fuel bourbon espresso martini lager chaser palate cleanser and we'll see what happens.

  • They're all OK but I can usually only manage one of the sweet ones, fursty ferret is alright but average and the fly one is a spicy novelty, I quite like their mustelidae links too.

  • The what now? Fuck, I thought I'd tried them all. This untappd thign is gonna end me. THere's more?

  • Blandford fly gingery jobbie.

  • They have Woodforde's Wherry as guest at my local. Amazing. Probably 10 years since I drank it lots in and around Blakeney for a week.

They also do Wherry as a homebrew kit. Possibly the best bucket beer I have ever tasted!

  • I'm well into the 3%ers, great for a first pint, especially if you're starting early. I'm pretty lightweight so it's frustrating when a bar has a lot to offer but I can only manage a few before falling asleep amongst chatting friends at 11pm.

Will be bottling my St peters ruby red today :) been in the FV for just under two weeks

+1 3-4.5% is perfect for beer

    Drink half pints?

  • Yep that too, although it makes me down it quicker for some reason, and if the bar is busy it's annoying going up and queueing twice as much.

  • Bit of a sod if you're doing rounds as well...

  • 4% for a morning beer, 6% for the afternoon.

  • You can always have a glass of that clear watery stuff afterwards and it'll be just like having a weaker beer.

  • Homebrewin
