This page has a few ideas as to why he designed the frame like that, long femurs and back problems being 2.

Paris-Roubaix, so probably he wanted more comfort seeing those suspension forks and slack geometry with too long tubes would offer more amortization and flex, but if so, why would he ride that tour at all? He should've just used a downhill bicycle (..)
:) You just evaporated your own proposition.

Really curious bike that. Looks like a new Synapse frame, but stretched. Stick a pair of drops on it thought and you might have quite a nice carbon touring bike.

I don't think many people realise just how much drag a small cylinder at right angles to the flow can generate
Reckon I could outpace your Cervelo? :o)

Legs will be the deciding factor, your bike is no worse than upsidedown's Vigorelli and he beats me.

It's just a create, other then the fact that price is higher then usual
and it has a blue chain it doesn't differ from other create's -

Steve Bauer what were you thinking
I am impossibly confused by this, seems that it would put you in a very disadvantageous position in terms of leg strength, and also really uncomfortable for your upper body, encouraging an upright non aero position.

Tx for replies on the Bauer bike, not sure how to thanks all in one quote.
The angle is slacker than my tourer! But cobbles and back problems I'd say is a valid excuse for any visual monstrosity...
The angles arent about comfort. As Tester pointed out. Its all about the saddle. With your feet so far forward the reaction to pedal force is directed backwards, where the saddle resists it.
