I owned a 50's Mercian path racer without wrapover stays...
Serial number will be on the BB shell and steerer, send a quick email to Mercian with the number and they'll be able to confirm if it's a Mercian or not...
Whatever it is, it's a lovely looking frame... Would be good to see some wheels in it to check clearances...
